Code of Ethics
The philosopher Kant defines “ethical” behavior as that of one who acts guided not by opportunistic fears of punishment or hopes of reward, but by their own reason, “in such a way as to treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of any other, always at the same time as an end, never merely as a means to an end.”
Our professional experience has taught us how important, and yet how demanding, it is to adopt ethical behavior. However, when we decided to create TAB, we had no doubt about the path we intended to pursue, despite the difficulties and efforts we would undoubtedly encounter.
Adopting ethical behavior—not only in private life but also in business—was and is our guiding principle. Reflection on ethics applied to the organizational and business sphere brings into play the concept of “Corporate Social Responsibility.” For TAB, Corporate Social Responsibility is configured as the ability to integrate its business activities with respect for and protection of the interests of all partners and individuals with whom it relates, along with the safeguarding of environmental resources and their conservation for future generations. Our activity is aimed at pursuing business while considering the respect due to all living beings and the value of inanimate things as the end of our actions, and not as a means to achieve profit.
From these core convictions arises this Code of Ethics, which represents the declaration of the values of The Advisory Box Srl (hereinafter TAB Srl), as well as the rights, duties, and responsibilities of TAB Srl regarding all stakeholders with whom it interacts in the performance of its activities.
The objective of this document is to recommend, promote, and/or prohibit certain behaviors by company employees and external collaborators to guarantee ethical conduct; it also provides for sanctions proportionate to the severity of any infractions committed. Its recipients are therefore called upon to strictly and fully respect the values and principles contained herein and are required to protect and preserve, through their behavior, the respectability and image of TAB Srl, as well as the integrity of its economic, social, and human heritage.
In no way can the belief of acting to the advantage of the Company justify the adoption of behaviors in conflict with shared principles and values.
However, the Code of Ethics does not replace and does not prevail over current laws and the existing National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL), which retain their effectiveness and validity.
